Solution

1. Turn OFF the external power supply and ensure that there is no voltage within the charger.
2. Check that no vehicle is plugged into any of the charging points, and that there is no risk of voltage backfeed.
3. Gently open the left and right-side doors as indicated (Figure 1.).
4. Slightly pull the bottom part of the door panel towards you, then lift it up to avoid damaging the door seals.

5. Locate and release the 2 screws at the bottom of the charger as shown.

6. Remove the front cover of the charger by lifting it up.

7.  Release 6 screws of the HMI and gently extract HMI, take care that it not fell during extraction.

8. Take care to not damage display, connectors during removal of the old HMI.
9. Gently remove the flat ribbon, flexible flat cable and emergency cables (highlighted red in Figure 5.) taking care not to damage them.

10. Insert new Button board to HMI and use reverse flow of steps.
11. Check the HMI function after replacement.
